The stage is set for an exciting six-hour second round in the 2019/2020 Bahrain Karting Enduro Championship (BKEC), taking place Saturday (November 9) at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) in Sakhir.

The event follows a hugely thrilling season-opener held last month over three hours.

The extended race duration now offers a bigger test to each participating driver’s quickness and racing ability. It will also require superior collaboration with their teammates, unwavering perseverance, and reliability.

Action will be held along BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre Commission Internationale de Karting track. Racing is scheduled to begin at 10.40am with Qualifying Practice. The six-hour race then flags off at 12noon and will conclude at exactly 6pm. The podium ceremony will follow right after the race.

A total of 14 teams have signed up to compete. They include three teams representing BAPCO, two for Racing BH, four for Bahrain Airport Services, two for Manama Drift, along with GO Bahrain, Cool Runnings-Bahrain and 3MDGRacing Team.

They will be battling it out in the Pro, Corporate and Nations classes. Each team will be competing in identical 390cc RT8 karts.

Racing BH were the overall winners in the first round and they will be looking to repeat that success this weekend.

All are welcome to attend the second round’s action and enjoy the very best of local grassroots motorsport. Entrance to BIKC is free of charge.

Following this weekend’s meeting, Round Three is set for January 18 next year and it will be a 12-hour event. Round Four will then be the championship-finale and the ultimate challenge of the season: a 24-hour race, scheduled for February 14 and 15.
