About the 2018 BIC National Day Festival
The BIC National Day Festival is one of the biggest annual events in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This year it is scheduled to take place from December 14 to 16..
Bahrain International Circuit is once again organising and hosting the momentous occasion. This signifies the important role the circuit plays in being a global ambassador to the country and how highly it is regarded as an iconic venue to all those visiting Bahrain.
The BIC National Day Festival is being held with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The spectacular celebration marks both Bahrain’s National Day and His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
It will include all sorts of children’s rides and activities, a traditional suq, food and beverage stalls, and live musical performances by massive regional artists.
In 2017, BIC hosted the event over four days and some of the biggest names in Arab music were a part of the festivities.
They included Hanan Reza and Khalid Fouad, who performed live on the night of December 14. Lebanese songbird Najwa Karam then took to the stage on December 15, followed by Bahraini superstar Asala on December 16. Arab singing sensation Majid Al Mohandis brought the curtains down on the festival with a fantastic live show on December 17.
Back-to-back nights of spectacular fireworks displays were also a major part of the 2017 festival, and a similar show is expected this year, illuminating the Sakhir desert sky with loads of brilliant colour.
BIC’s National Day Festival has become a favourite occasion in the local community, for both Bahrainis and expatriates alike.
